Volcano Kelimutu one day Tour

About 4 hours driving from Sea World Club Hotel. Direct to the renowned and unique Kelimutu National Park. From parking area to a point within a short walking distance of the lookout at Kelimutu, at an altitude of 1690 meters above sea level. From here you can enjoy superb views of the tree volcanic crater. The terrain surroundings the lakes is spectacular, rugged and varied, and in this setting the colors of the three lakes are nothing less than astonishing. No one has managed to explain the cause of the colors or why they change. Your guide will explain you the role of this natural phenomena in local folklore.

From Kelimutu, drive downward to Moni for a short sightseeing then having lunch at local restaurant in Moni. After lunch, we drive direct to Sea World Club with stop in Jopu to visit traditional house. Continue trip with some stops on the road for a short walk and pictures or relax. Late afternoon arrive Sea World Club.

Kelimutu Tour (2 Days/1 Night)

Day 01: Sea World Club - Watublapi - Moni
After breakfast we drive half an hour uphill to Watublapi. Take part in the traditional welcome ceremony, while women perform their traditional dances accompanied by men beating "gong waning", a local musical instrument. See women demonstrating the way they design and handcraft motifs for ikat weavings using natural coloring. Enjoy the performance till time to have our lunch. You will enjoy local dishes such as chicken cooked in coconut milk, mixed vegetables of maniok leaf and papaya flowers served with red rice mixed with green peas, and "arak", local alcoholic drink brewed from palm juice.

From Watublapi we drive to Maumere and through the mountains to the south coast of Flores and on to Moni. Enjoy the breathtaking views of this spectacular volcanic terrain, with plantations and villages clinging to mountain sides. We can stop along the way to make short walks at points of interest.

Dinner and overnight accommodation is provided at Flores Sare Hotel in Moni.

Day 02: Moni - Kelimutu - Sea World Club
Our destination this morning is the renowned and unique Kelimutu National Park. From Moni, our vehicle ascends the steep sealed road to a point within a short walking distance of the lookout at Kelimutu. From here you can enjoy superb views of the three volcanic craters depicted on the Rp.5000 banknote, and if you look carefully, you may be surprised that the coloring on the banknote appears to be incorrect. Your Guide will explain the role of this natural phenomenon in local folklore.

Drive download to Moni for our breakfast. From here we go to Jopu, a traditional village, to see the "adat house". Our lunch is provided at a local restaurant in Wolowaru. After luch, we continue trip to Maumere. Along the way to Maumere, we stop at Ledalero to visit the anthropological museum named "Bikon Blewut" means the past dim. From here we return to Sea World Club with stop a long the way for short walk and photos. Meals will be arranged en route at local restaurant.

In the afternoon arrive Sea World Club, relax and enjoy the hotel's facilities till dinnertime.
